The Light Diffusing Ink, developed by the laboratories of EPTAINKS, won the silver medal at FESPA Awards 2018, the competition that rewards excellence in the field of printing promoted by FESPA, the federation of national associations for screen, digital and textile printing.
The Light Diffusing Ink (or LDI) is a solvent-based product for screen printing on optically transparent glass, PC and PMMA panels visible only through dedicated LED lighting: the printed image is transparent in normal light conditions or without any light, becoming visible and colored only when the LED source, positioned at the edges of the substrate, is switched on.
The ink was used to print the artwork Kiss Me by the contemporary street artist Mr. Savethewall from Como, while the lighting device was designed and created by Marco Giacomini from Polisettimo.
You can find more information about the ink and its applications on the Light Diffusing Ink webpage.
